In the field of computer technology the term "hardware" or software" refers to a hardware upgrade replaces an older version with a newer version that has additional features or functions. Components can be purchased from vendors in Night City or obtained by disassembling items that aren't functional. They can also be found randomly throughout the globe. Unlike weapons and gear that are available for purchase, components can be bought from vendors even if they are not level-appropriate or high-leveled.
There are many kinds of components. Universal upgrades (such as gems) can be put on all equipment, but they provide smaller bonuses than those that are restricted to a specific kind. Jewels however are only able to be placed in trinkets, and provide larger bonuses than any other upgrade item.
There are also inscriptions which are unique upgrade items that are only placed in a trinket and can be used to add an experience multiplier. These can be very useful to min/max a character since they are relatively cheap to obtain, but they do not stack with any other experience modifiers.
Infusions can be incorporated into non-ascended armor and legendaries as well as other non-legendary items. They can be recovered using the tool to extract them or salvaging with the Ascended Rescue Tool. An important thing to note is that upgrading an item with infusions will cause the resulting item to have a distinct name. For instance, adding an infusion of Rune of Minor Vigor to a Tyrian Armor will cause it to display the name "Radiant Tyrian Armor." Similar to an written inscription on a weapon will appear in its hover display as an Inscribed Weapon.
Glyphs
Glyphs improve a substat of an item of gear. You can find them in a variety of places, but the most common is by finishing Nightmare Dungeons or Helltides. They can also be obtained through the Faction Crypts. The Glyphs found in crypts are class-specific, so make sure to only claim the ones that apply to your character. You can spend your Glyphs at the Glyph Altar in Teleria. This altar will boost your enchanted item's value by a certain amount based on the Glyph that you use.

Glyphs of Insight are an essential element of the crafting system used in the Last Epoch. You can use them to transform a prefix from gloves, belts, or boots into an experimental affix. Glyphs can be difficult to acquire due to the RNG factor of their crafting. To assist with this, we've created a Glyph of Insight Crafting Spreadsheet to guide players through their journey.
Some tips to get Glyphs of Vision faster include choosing shorter dungeons that are simpler to complete, such as Witchwater. This dungeon has a linear layout, making it easy to traverse and defeat enemies. Consuming health potions during dungeon runs will also accelerate the process.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a process that involves replacing an upgrade item by another item of the same type. This changes its extra stats, but does not alter the level of the item or a unit's attachment slot. The price of the new item will be based on its level and rarity. This can be accomplished with armors, weapons and rings.
Upgrade items are accessories that improve the stats of units in Guild Wars 2 These items are available in a vast variety and can improve various aspects. The upgrades improve the physical power, spell power and the health of armors, weapons, and rings. They also provide a range of other abilities to the unit. The player can utilize an item by placing it in the appropriate slot on the model's portrait.
Recycling items will fill up the progress bar, which increases the upgrade value of an item. Up to six items can be recycled at a time and the number of points accumulated for recycling increases with both the item's rarity and level. The upgrade is random and cannot be guaranteed.
The choice to reroll or not is a personal decision, depending on the player's priorities. Some players prefer to reroll to have a good collection of strong characters to help carry their game while others might choose not to reroll as they prefer playing with their favourite character, regardless of their strength.
Rerolling is expensive and takes a lot time, so it is important to consider the pros and cons carefully. If you're not sure which rerolling strategy to use consult with other players and seek suggestions.
Being consistent and accumulating a large number of tokens will increase your odds of getting high-quality rerolls. Sets
When an upgrade is placed on a set or an exclusive item, a bonus will be offered to the set. These bonuses can differ depending on the upgrade type. Although the additional stats added by an upgrade item can help a build, they aren't always the most beneficial. For instance, a top breakpoint item for dps might not benefit in the same way from an upgrade if there is already another nearly perfect, or even perfect, non-upgraded version that is the same item (whistan's shield for FB sorcs comes to mind). Also, an item that provides value through its unique affixes may be very useful in its original state (goldwrap is a great choice for caster dps).
